  1. Anna Blocker

Anna Blocker - This is a photo of a baby that looks just like the baby in 2009.028.35 and the photo was taken by the same photographer and was attached to that photo with adhesive paper, so I am assuming it is the same baby. Her hair is styled the same way, parted in the center and curled under. She is wearing a different dress, however. This dress is very long and the hem is trimmed in two rows of embroidered pointed lace. The sleeves are th...

  3. Anna & Ida Blocker

Anna & Ida Blocker - This picture of a little girl and baby has been identified by someone who wrote the names in pencil underneath the photo on the photographer's mat. Anna is the baby, Ida the little girl who later married George Steiner. Whoever did the identification added the name Steiner after Ida Blocker. Anna is seated on a very ornate wicker chair wearing a white baby dress. It appears there is a narrow ruffle of fabric around the ne...

  5. Bathing Beauties

Bathing Beauties - This is a photo which has been made into a postcard of eight young women, probably taken before the 1920's, in their bathing suits standing in water at what appears to be a lake shore. There is a small house or lake cabin behind them surrounded by some trees. There is an old bench, which looks suspiciously like an old church pew, under one of the trees near the shore. We believe this to be Lake Wawasee at Oakwood Park accord...

They are posed in the same place, you can see the shoreline is the same, but now some of them are seated in a canoe. If you look closely, you can still see the old church pew sitting beside the tree on the upper left side of the photo. Based on identification information from a related picture, the girls can be identified as the following (left t...

  7. Blocher Girls

Blocher Girls - This picture is a copy that has been placed in the upper right hand corner of an 8 1/2 x 11 inch sheet of paper. The girls have been identified as from left: Minnie, Orilla, Ida and Anna who sits in the center. Orilla is the youngest, having been born in 1904, and I think she has been mis-identified as Minnie. She appears to be 11 or 12 years old, so this photo was probably taken about 1915-1916.

Photo of Old Picture of Annie and Ida Blocher - This photo is of an old picture of two young women. Written on the back in blue ink is: "Picture of Annie and I that Mark took when we wouldn't come outside and have our picture taken". Evidently, "Mark" had wanted to take a picture of the two sisters and they refused, so as a joke, he took the old picture of them off the wall and placed it on the steps of the house and took a picture of it. The ...
