Young Married Couple - This unidentified photo of a young couple, I'm assuming is married. The couple are seated together and the woman is wearing a white dress, but I don't want to assume it's a wedding photo. The woman looks very much like the woman in #2008.012. 91. In fact, I believe it to be the same. Both women have long faces with flat cheekbones and rounded chins. She is older in this photo, but wears her hair in very much the same way, the pompadour style but with the addition of a braided top knot. Her blouse is loose fitting with many small tucks and has large puffed sleeves. The yoke of the blouse is made of lace and has a stand-up collar made of the same lace, trimmed in another smaller lace. The man has combed his hair in a side part and is wearing a suit coat with vest, white shirt with bat-wing collar and a large checked ascot. The photo is mounted on a large cream colored photographer's frame with an embossed print of what appears to be a Greek goddess with several cherubs on the left hand side. The goddess is wearing a form fitting spaghetti strap sheath with a low flowing neckline and sandals. Her hair is curly and piled on top of her head and in her right hand she is holding a length of fabric that appears to be twisting about her in the wind. She has her left arm up and is looking to her left at three cherubs who seem ot have grabbed the fabric. The photographer's logo is centered in the middle of the frame rather than centered under the photo of the couple and says: J. E. Moser, Decatur, Ind. |
