"We Are Winners" - This is a photo taken by Shalley of Berne, Adams Co., IN of a group of unidentified women who were employees of the Winner House garment factory located in Berne. The photo has been made into a postcard which was never sent but Shalley did put his name on the right hand side of the picture along with the "We Are Winners" across the bottom. The backdrop used was painted to look like a greenhouse with tropical plants in it. This backdrop was used in a lot of Shalley's photos. Some of their dresses are adorned with lace while some of the women are wearing necklaces or brooches. |
