Elizabeth Sprunger - This photo has been made into a postcard which was sent to Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Habegger of Woodburn, Ind. on 19 Mar 1913. The card says, "Berne, Ind., March 19, 1913. Do you know me? I am getting along fine. Received your letter. Elizabeth weighs 12 lbs. Come and visit us. From, Mrs. Philip Sprunger". The Berne postmark is still legible on the back of the postcard. The picture is of "Elizabeth" seated in an overstuffed leather chair and propped up with a pillow. The chair has wooden arms and looks like it might be rocker. The baby is dressed is a long white baby dress that has embroidery about 6 inches up from the hem that looks like squares placed on edge with tiny tulips embroidered between them. The pillow she is leaning against has a fabric ruffle all around the edges. |
