Description |
Mennonite Men's Chorus - This is a photo of the Mennonite Men's Choir possibly taken in the early 1970s. It shows the men posed on risers in the patio of the Mennonite Church. You can see the stair case and the mezanine with a door leading to the main office, behind them. They are all wearing tuxedos with white shirts and black bow ties, except for the one woman in the group. She is wearing a straight, knee-length skirt with a belted jacket. The jacket buttons down the front and has white cuffs and collar and she is wearing a scoop necked top underneath the jacket with a band of color at the neckline. None of the people are identified, but the man standing just to the woman's left with the gray hair is Freeman Burkhalter. He was the music director at the Mennonite Church for many years. |
