Mary, Vaughn, and Homer Schlagenhauf. This formal portrait shows three of the Schlagenhauf siblings. Mary is standing at the left and is wearing a light-colored, drop-waist dress; a light-colored hair bow; and dark-colored sandles with straps. Vaughn is sitting on an ornate wicker chair and is wearing a light-colored dress and dark-colored shoes. Homer is standing at the right and is wearing a light-colored shirt with a celluloid collar; dark-colored pants; a dark-colored bow tie; and dark-colored, laced boots. The back of the photo is identified in handwritten pencil and ink as follows: Homer Schlagenhauf Mary " Vaughn ' ' According to the Swiss Ancestral Tree, Mary was born on 14 Sep 1905, Vaughn on 13 Mar 1907, and Homer on 04 Jul 1902. Mary appears to be about 3 years old, Vaughn about 1 1/2 - 2 years old, and Homer about 6 years old in this photo. Thus, the estimated date range of 1908-1909 has been given. This photo is from the "Daniel and Elizabeth (Ashbaucher) Beeler Family" book compiled by Marlene Schlagenhauf. A copy of the photo has been placed in the book. |
