1984 Jaycees Christmas Tree Contest Winners - December 1984
In December 1984, the Berne Jaycees sponsored a Trim-a-Tree contest and collected canned goods and other items to donate for less fortunate families in the community. The South Adams 6th grade class won first prize for collecting 1827 items. Pictured in the photo are Jaycees representative, Floyd Liechty, and sixth graders Darin Neuenschwander, Jackie Polcsak, Tom Harsha, Tammy Harrison, and Jody Mills.

Remains from Old Mennonite Cemetery - 29 August 2012
Remains from Old Mennonite Cemetery. In 2009, the remains of some bodies buried in the Old Mennonite Cemetery at the corner of U.S. Highway 27 and State Road 218 were exhumed by archeologists in preparation for road work at the corner.
